Statements in bulkPro

Drop a folder of bank statement PDFs. Every one is converted and then checked against the running balance the bank printed, so you find out whether a transaction was dropped instead of hoping it wasn't. Nothing is uploaded; the work happens in this tab.

The single-statement converter stays free and always will, and so does its proof. You should be able to find out whether this works on your bank, and whether we are any good, before you pay anything.

One subscription, one key, and it belongs to FileKiln rather than to a single page. Today the paid work is the statement batch above, because that is the job people were asking us for. As other tools get a Pro side, the same key opens them at no extra cost. We would rather widen what you already pay for than sell you a second thing.

No statements yet. Every file you add stays on this machine.

What "proven" actually means

Almost every bank statement prints a running balance, and that column is a checksum the bank already calculated. If a converter drops a row, the arithmetic stops working: the balance moves by more than the transaction on that line explains. So the gap can be found, measured, and placed between two dates.

That is the whole idea, and it is why this page can say something stronger than "converted successfully":

The third verdict is the one that matters most. A checker with only pass and fail has to call an unprovable statement one or the other, and both answers are false.

What happens after you pay

  1. Stripe takes the payment. Its own page, its own form. We never see a card number.
  2. You land back on this tool with the limit already gone, and your licence key on screen.
  3. Keep the key. It is how you turn Pro on again on another machine. There is nothing to log in to.

Cancel, change your card, or get an invoice

Paste your licence key and it opens Stripe's billing page for your subscription. You can cancel there, switch between monthly and yearly, update the card, and download every invoice you have been sent.

Cancelling stops the next payment and Pro keeps working until the period you have already paid for runs out. We do not refund part of a month by default, but if you cancel right after a renewal you did not mean to pay, write hello@filekiln.com and we will refund it.

Lost your key? You do not need it to cancel. Open the billing login page, type the email address you paid with, and Stripe sends you a link straight to your own subscription. Cancel, change the card or download an invoice from there. Your licence key is written on the subscription too, so it is waiting for you when you arrive. If for any reason it is not, write to hello@filekiln.com from that same address and we will send it back to you.

Where your statements go

Nowhere. The PDF is read by JavaScript in this tab, and there is no code on this page that sends file content anywhere. That is checkable rather than a claim to take on faith: open your browser's network tab, convert a statement, and watch that nothing leaves.

The one network call Pro makes is the licence check, which sends a licence key and nothing else. It runs when you activate and roughly once a month after that, so Pro keeps working on a plane or behind an office firewall. A tool that had to phone home before it would convert anything would not really be running on your machine.

This matters more for bank statements than for most files. Every competing converter we know of uploads your statement to a server to process it. For a bookkeeper holding a client's account data, that is often the difference between a tool they can use and one they cannot.
